Largest sky lantern launch

When 18,100 sky paper lanterns flew into the evening air from the embankment in Khmelnitskyi, the city beach became as lit up as if it were during the daytime.  Over 16,000 residents of Khmelnytskyi participated in the “Lantern in the Sky Is Peace on Earth” campaign. Additionally to sky lanterns, the participants of the event received 20,000 matchboxes to light up their candles.  It took the organisers 2 years to prepare the event.
