World’s longest certified foot race

The world’s longest certified marathon course is in New York. Every year, it stages the marathon Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race, where runners are circling around a block of buildings in the Jamaica district of Queens for 51 days, demonstrating the capabilities of the human body. The total length of the marathon course is 4,989 kilometres. The organizer of the races is Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team. The certificate was handed in to Abhinabba Tangerman, a caretaker of Sri Chinmoy community in the Netherlands.
